I stumbled across this site recently while shopping for an office printer.
Pros:
PriceMe has an appealing and friendly look that makes shoppers feel at home. The categorisation is good and it's easy to navigate and browse the site. The filtering technology is awesome, and finding a Canon laser printer that matched my budget was a breeze. The compare functionality of features for products within the same category is another plus.
Cons:
The search functionality is OK, but generally contains too many results to be useful. The site tends to be fast, but at times feel slow (time for hardware upgrade?). Some of the products are lacking images.
Conclusion:
I normally use Trade Me for when looking for something to buy, especially second hand items (as do most Kiwis). However, PriceMe is a faster and more convenient way to shop for new products online. It has the broadest range of new products and retailers available in New Zealand, and should be a natural starting point for savvy online consumers.
